FCSSC Director General Wu Zhong was Invited to Attend the International Forum For China Impact Investing

On May 15, 2025, the "International Forum For China Imapct Investing (IFCII) " was grandly held in Shanghai. Dr. Wu Zhong, Director General of FCSSC, attended and spoke at the forum. The forum was jointly hosted by the China Institute for Inclusive Finance (CAFI), Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the First Financial Research Institute.


Under the theme "Do More with Less The Future of Sustainable Finance", discussions focused on five key topics: the capital market and finance ‘s “Five Key Areas”; the social value of "chain-leading" enterprises; wealth transfer and impact investing, rural revitalization, and corporate social responsibility. The forum aimed to provide new solutions to the challenges facing global sustainable development today.


On the 14th, as a member of the Committee, Dr. Wu was invited to attend the closed-door committee meeting, exchanging ideas and thoughts about the development of social responsibility investment in China with other invited guests. During the forum, Dr. Wu delivered speech in Parallel Discussion Two, titled "The Social Value of 'Chain-Leading' Enterprises," where he shared insights and suggestions regarding the current trend of Chinese companies expanding overseas and capital going abroad. He emphasized that this expansion is not only about business iteration and growth but also about fulfilling social responsibility, which can bring positive social value and impact to local communities. He shared FCSSC’s experiences in implementing sustainable investment projects in Southeast Asia and Africa, encouraging Chinese companies interested in international ventures to work together towards achieving sustainable development goals and creating mutually beneficial outcomes.


The forum featured notable guests including Liu Xiaochun, Deputy Director of the China Financial Research Institute (Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance), Bei Duoguang, President of China Institute for Financial Inclusion (CAFI), Chen Bowen, President of Kasikorn Bank, Thailand, Qi Dike, Chief Representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in China and Mongolia, Zhang Jian, Vice President of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Yang Yudong, Editor-in-Chief of First Financial, Zhang Meiling, Regional Director and Chief Representative of Ford Foundation Beijing Office.
