The Seventh Air Silk Road International Forum (ASRIF) was Successfully Held in Xi’an

From November 26 to 28, the 7th Air Silk Road International Forum (ASRIF), co-hosted by the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation, the International Cooperation Alliance of the Air Silk Road, the China Aeronautics and Astronautics Institute, and the China Satellite Navigation Association, was successfully held in Xi’an. Under the guidance of the Global Services Trade Alliance, this summit has become a regular event of the China International Service Trade Fair.


With the theme of "Building a New Hub for the Air Silk Road and Creating a New Heights for Open Development in the West," this year’s summit aims to establish an international platform for cooperation and exchange, empowering the high-quality development of the "Air Silk Road." During the opening ceremony, Liu Fang, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization; Zhao Weidong, Secretary-General of the Global Services Trade Alliance; and Wu Zhong, Director General of the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC) delivered opening remarks respectively.


In his speech, Dr. Wu emphasized that the FCSSC has been supporting the summit for many years, accumulating rich experience in promoting the integration of the aviation industry with financial development. As a non-profit international organization based in Hong Kong, FCSSC is dedicated to helping developing countries achieve sustainable development. Furthermore, it will continue to empower Chinese enterprises in their international ventures, facilitating their expansion into global markets while promoting sustainable economic development in the destination countries.


This year's summit has introduced the county-level low-altitude economy as a core topic for the first time. Over 300 representatives from relevant national ministries, local governments, domestic and international industry organizations, the aviation sector, financial institutions, and think tanks from universities. They contributed ideas and solutions on advancing smart civil aviation and its integration with cultural tourism, as well as promoting the development of aerotropolis and low-altitude economy.


Notable guests in attendance included renowned economist and former Mayor of Chongqing, Huang Qifan; Vice President of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for North Asia, Xie Xingquan; former Director of the Comprehensive Transportation Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, Wang Ming; General Manager for China at Ethiopian Airlines Group, Tang Ruibo; and former Director of the Ministry of Commerce's Department of Foreign Assistance, Wang Shichun.
